On Friday night 29th July in the garden of the Comune building in La Villa there will be a concert under the stars.
The regular second hand market will be held on Sunday 31st July.

Cantabruna, the new enoteca in Fornoli
I am home in Australia for a while. Fortunately, fellow Australian, Liz Litzow was on hand for the opening night of the new enoteca and took some photos to share.
Things to do in Bagni di Lucca
There is a new enoteca opening in Fornoli. It is great to see new businesses opening in Bagni di Lucca.
I highly recommend the guided walks around Bagni di Lucca. You will definitely discover treasures.
The crossbow competition is fun to watch. It will begin around 9.30 I believe. it would be a good idea to put more information on the posters.
Pre-loved in Ponte
Ponte a Serraglio has an excellent pre-loved clothing shop. It is part of the Auser group. It is on the road between the Piazza in Ponte a Serraglio and La Villa.
There is a wonderful selection of clothing and accessories…a great addition to Ponte a Serraglio.
Beautiful things in Bagni di Lucca
There is a new shop in Bagni di Lucca, Villa. It is called Flora Gioh Donatella. We are lucky to have artist Scarlaty Arribabene and her beautiful designs in our town.
She studied modern art at Moma in New York and now shows and sells her work in her shop in Bagni di Lucca. All pieces from Flora Gioh Donatella are made with love by Scarlaty. She makes jewellery with a botanical theme. Each piece of the collection represents leaves, flowers and delicate fragments of nature.
She also makes deliciously fragrant candles.
Donatella is a line of paintings that combine shapes and textures, harmony and contradiction.
The shop is bright, spacious and inviting.
I met the delightful artist recently and I wish her the best in her new venture.
Flora Gioh Donatella is in Via Umberto I, at the post office end of the street.
Soffitte in strada
The sun shone on the Soffitte in Strada today in La Villa. We need rain, but the dark clouds that come and go, can come back tonight.
I visited at lunch time, so there were not many people wandering in the street, but it is good to see the markets happening.
I hope you got a bargain.

Sicilian delights at Ponte a Serraglio
Piera, who owns and runs the excellent fruit and vegetable shop in Ponte a Serraglio, is from Sicily. She and her husband are now selling snap frozen Sicilian delights in the shop. They have arancini and pastries in different sizes.
There are sauces to go with them as well.
Of course they still sell a great range of fresh fruit and vegetables.
