A quiet river walk Posted on November 17, 2022 by Debra Kolkka There is a pretty walk beside the river in La Villa. You can enter beside Conad supermarket or below the walking bridge behind the Teatro Accademico. A lovely way to take a quiet walk beside the river. I walk it (The poets walk) every time I come there and never see anyone using it. It is far nicer than the busy road that runs parallel with it. I think there is a plaque to Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Robert Browning there. Reply ↓
I walk it this summer, while staying in Bagni. I enjoyed the walk, but I felt that there was a lot of overgrowth and you could not see the river. Reply ↓
I too love that walk / and not many people use it
I rarely see anyone walking there. It is a wonder it is not used more often.
Next time in Bagni I’ll take that lovely walk. Thanks for sharing.
It is pretty in spring when the trees come back to life.

I have seen the plaque. It is near the walking bridge.

Spring is a lovely time to walk along the river.
I love and miss that walk – thanks for sharing.
I like to hear the sound of the water running.

It could do with more maintenance, especially in summer when things grow quickly.
Such a lovely walk with nice peaceful views. I hope it gets the loving care it deserves.
The walk does need a bit of love, as do many places in Bagni di Lucca.
