The exhibition is upstairs at Bar Italia in Ponte a Serraglio right now.
The art competition was a big success on Sunday. It was a sunny day and the artists found suitable spots around the park and Ponte a Serraglio to create their masterpieces.
Finished paintings appeared quickly.
The judges worked hard to find winners…here they are…first to 5th.
Well done the people from Borgo degli Artisti for a great event, now in its 9th year.

This Sunday Villa Fiori Park at Ponte a Serraglio will be filled with artists for the annual Colori e Sapori.
It promises to be a lot of fun, with delicious things to eat. Drop in to see the artists at work and later on to see the winners.
There is also an exhibition at Borgo degli Artisti starting this weekend.
Ponte a Serraglio will be a hive of activity this weekend.
Here are some things to do soon in Bagni di Lucca.
Catene Cafe has had a transformation. The gelato counter has been replaced by delicious pastries.
The grand opening was this evening and the lovely Paolo was in fine form.
The selection of pastries is excellent and we were able to sample quite a few…and they were just as delicious as they look. The girls were mobbed by people wanting to try things.
Good luck Paolo, I hope your new venture is a huge success.
The Red Cross had their first event in Villa Fiori tonight. When we arrived the party was in full swing.
The children were having a great time.
Beer and wine were being served.
The tents were filling up.
The menu posted.
We ordered and took our seats. Beside us the Burraco tables were ready.
Soon they filled up too.
I forgot to show you our food, but it was very tasty.
We walked home as it was beginning to get dark.

The exhibition celebrating women has opened at the Casino at Bagni di Lucca. The opening ceremony was very well attended.
There were too many people there last night to allow me to get reasonable photos, so I went back this afternoon. The theme for artists was The Dreams of Women…interpreted in many ways.
A highlight was Maureen Halson’s white horse. The animal is huge and very impressive.
In another room was the photography area.
As well as current photos there is a lovely collection of photos put together by residents. It is fun to see scenes from times gone by.
The exhibition continues until Sunday.
It is almost time for the festival to celebrate women at the casino in Ponte a Serraglio.
In a week of events there will be something for everyone…see you there.
