The exhibition celebrating women has opened at the Casino at Bagni di Lucca. The opening ceremony was very well attended.
There were too many people there last night to allow me to get reasonable photos, so I went back this afternoon. The theme for artists was The Dreams of Women…interpreted in many ways.
A highlight was Maureen Halson’s white horse. The animal is huge and very impressive.
In another room was the photography area.
As well as current photos there is a lovely collection of photos put together by residents. It is fun to see scenes from times gone by.
The exhibition continues until Sunday.
What a great exhibition in our little village –
It is excellent, thank you to the organisers.
The old photos are interesting.
I love them too. I tried to recognise some of the faces…without success.
What a great celebration for all women….glad to hear that it was well patronised.
This event is usually well attended.
A display with a little bit of everything…I especially loved that horse with the braided mane and the way it arches it’s head. Graceful…
Maureen is very clever.
The photo of the hands and ring took my breath away!
Me too.
I regret missing it… Thank you for sharing it, Debra!
You will have to come in March one year.
I had the same reaction as Yvonne to the hands & ring photo. Very moving. Looks like a fantastic exhibiition.
It is a great photo.
