We are very lucky in Bagni di Lucca to have many wonderful bars to choose from. Catene Cafe in Fornoli is a favourite. It has recently had a make over and is better than ever. Congratulations to Paolo, Yanima and the team.
Catene Cafe serves deliciois pastries, sandwiches and coffee and the service is great. They do an excellent aperitivo in the evenings.

Time flies! Paolo Citti’s excellent cafe in Fornoli is 10 years old. There was a party last night to celebrate.
Lots of people gathered to celebrate. Well done Paolo and the team. Let’s hope there are lots more years to come.

The next one I will definitely be attending. It is the 10th anniversary of Cafe Catene. Time flies!
This one sounds like fun.
My second venture out for coffee was to Catene Cafe in Fornoli. 
It was great to see Paolo and Yanima…and the coffee and sfoglia were excellent as usual.
Every effort has been made to make the situation as safe as possible in this uncertain time. I will be back…It is great to be out and about again.
Catene Cafe has had a transformation. The gelato counter has been replaced by delicious pastries.
The grand opening was this evening and the lovely Paolo was in fine form.
The selection of pastries is excellent and we were able to sample quite a few…and they were just as delicious as they look. The girls were mobbed by people wanting to try things.
Good luck Paolo, I hope your new venture is a huge success.
It is no secret that Paolo is one of my favourite Bagni di Luccans. We were all saddened and worried when we learned of his recent accident.
I can happily report that he is back at work and on the mend. His back brace will stay on a bit longer, and he looks a bit battered and bruised, but he should make a full recovery.
Drop in to Catene Cafe in Fornoli and wish him well…and have a coffee or one of his delicious gelati.

It is no secret that I am a big fan of Paolo Citti. I am delighted that he has opened a new bar and cafe in Fornoli. I am even more pleased that his gelato making is fully operational.
Now the biggest problem is which flavour to have.
I find it difficult to go past nocciola and pistachio, but I was also tempted by chocolate and coconut…life can be molto difficile sometimes.
