My father, Romeo Fuggiti, was born and raised in La Pieve. He moved to the states when he was 17 (1948). He died May 13, 2015. I would love to go back to La Pieve with my husband and kids some day soon! We still have many relatives there. Really enjoyed seeing your pictures here. I was there when I was 12 with my dad. I am now 52. Time to go back! Only wish my dad could have joined me : (
Which Pieve? We have Pieve di Monti di Villa and, Pieve di Controni
Fantastic list, thank you x
I hope you get to try lots of the restaurants on the list. It took me a while to visit all of them. Some I have been to many times.

Circolo dei Forestieri is consistently good, Buca di Baldabo in Vico Pancellorum does the best pasta in the area. My favourite is Alfonso in Barga, a little more expensive, but delicious modern Italian food.
Cavallino Bianco…Benabbio sadly closed
The restaurant has reopened with new owners.
A little secret that I hope no one goes to as I don’t want it spoiled Bar Ristorante da Marina Via Umberto I, 1 Casoli.
It is a good restaurant, I have been a couple of times. I hope lots of people go there.
