The school beside the road between Ponte a Serraglio and La Villa used to be so full some students had to move to the Boy Scout (now Red Cross) building opposite.
Now it is derelict…another building that needs some love.
Bagni di Lucca has lots of unloved buildings. I think is one could be turned into apartments. There is room for a garden at the back on the edge of the river…any takers?
Fornoli is the place to be this Sunday, 18th December.
The living nativity in Pieve di Monti di Villa was a great success. Lots of people attended and got into the spirit of things. I was unable to attend as I am currently in Australia, but luckily my friends Teri and Charlotte were there and took some photos.

It is wonderful to see so many people take part and to see a crowd of people enjoying the event. These local festivals are a delightful part of life in the villages of Bagni di Lucca…long may they continue.
Parco Contessa Casalini in La Villa is looking beautiful in the soft autumn light.
It was badly damaged in a recent storm, but is recovering nicely.
Cool weather and misty mornings and golden light have arrived in Bagni di Lucca.
Autumn is a beautiful season. I love the cool mornings and evenings. Soon the leaves will fall.
