Autumn in the park
This is the last show of autumn colour in the park in La Villa. Heavy rain has washed away the autumn leaves and soon the trees will take on their winter look.
Each season is beautiful in its own way.
First snow at Abetone
The first snow of the season has fallen at Abetone.
Let’s hope it will be a great ski season.
Tiglio in autumn
I can’t get enough of the fabulous Tiglio tunnels on the way into Fornoli and Ponte a Serraglio. They look amazing in each season, but autumn is special.
It is raining now and soon all the leaves will be gone.
Necci in Benabbio
If you like necci, castagnaccio, fritelle and castagne be in Benabbio on 5th November.
The feasting begins at 2.00pm.
La Villa market
The latest street market in La Villa was a big success. Lots of people gathered looking for a bargain.
Take a look at the treasures on offer.
I found a wonderful old torch holder which has now found a home at Casa Debbio.

Autumn delights
Autumn is a wonderful time of the year in Bagni di Lucca. This year the weather has been glorious.
One of the best things about autumn is the delicious produce. There are chestnuts, cachi, pomegranates, clementines, pumpkins and porcini mushrooms.
Make the most of these wonderful autumn treats!
A garden shed?
On my wanderings I spotted the garden shed beside the SS Brennero near Cocciglio.
It looks as though it has been cobbled together from scraps.
I wonder if anyone is still using it.
Restored and replaced
I am happy to report that the lovely lady in the fountain in the park in La Villa has been restored and replaced after being damaged a few months ago.
It is good to see her back.
