Crossbow competition
The 18th Palio della Val di Lima will be held on 16th June, 10.00 – 1.00….3.00 – 6.00 at Villa Buonvisi, Bagni di Lucca. This is a fun event, not to be missed.

Canoes on the Lima River
The Lima is being put to good use by adventure seekers. It was fun to see canoeists enjoying the late afternoon sun.
There are some excellent water sports to be enjoyed in Bagni di Lucca.
Borgo degli Artisti
Borgo degli Artisti, the group formed to organise and promote artistic activities in Bagni di Lucca has been revived after an absence of a few years. What an excellent thing to happen! The group has been missed.
The first event for the new group was held at the Casino in Ponte a Serraglio, with poetry, music and art.
The group is a non profit, non political association with the aim of supporting local art and crafts. In its previous form the group organised the wonderful art completion in the Villa Fiori park, among many other things. It will be excellent to see more events in the future.

Poetry, Art and Music
On Saturday at 4.00pm we were treated to poetry readings and music at the casino in Ponte a Serraglio. We were also surrounded by an art exhibition which will continue until 24th May.
The exhibition will be open today 11.00 – 13.00 and 16.00 – 19.00

A place to swim in the Lima River
Just past Ponte Diana,on the Brennero road towards Abetone, is a track that takes you to a suspension bridge that gives access to a stony beach beside the Lima. Now that the weather is warming up it is a great time to look for it.
There is a rock to jump from into the river.
Beside the river there is a track leading to Pian di Fiume where there is a kiosk.
Anyone for tennis?
The tennis courts in Bagni di Lucca were opened today after a wonderful renovation. The courts are excellent and there is a new meeting place and cafe in the front. This is a welcome addition to Bagni di Lucca, especially with warm weather on the way.

Ape Swap
What is “L’Ape Swap”?
It’s a fun aperitivo associated with the exchange of clothes and books.
How does it work?
For the clothing and /or books you bring, the staff will assign a value that corresponds to a sticker. You can use this sticker to “purchase” other items.
What to bring?
Bring a maximum of three clothing items and/or books. Make sure the clothes are washed and in good condition.
When to deliver?
To streamline the process, it’s recommended to bring the items on Sunday 5th May, starting at 2pm directly to the wine shop, Cantabruna in Fornoli.
Ape Swap Baratto e Vino is a sustainable aperitivo associated with the exchange of clothing and books. It is organised by the municipality of Bagni di Lucca in collaboration with Auser. Its goal is to raise awareness about circularity, reuse, and to counter the phenomenon of waste.
