On Saturday 14th June there will be a celebration for the opening of the beautiful public pool in Bagni di Lucca.

The beautiful Bagni di Lucca pool will open on 15th June. The pool is in Bagni di Lucca Villa near Villa Ada.
Catene Cafe in Fornoli
We are very lucky in Bagni di Lucca to have many wonderful bars to choose from. Catene Cafe in Fornoli is a favourite. It has recently had a make over and is better than ever. Congratulations to Paolo, Yanima and the team.
Catene Cafe serves deliciois pastries, sandwiches and coffee and the service is great. They do an excellent aperitivo in the evenings.

Bagni di Lucca event information
A new website has been created by the Comune to inform people about what is happening in Bagni di Lucca.

Events for the summer 2025 are shown, concerts, gastronomic events, nature walks annd cultural discoveries, all in beautiful Bagni di Lucca…over 100 events. The site will be updated daily.
Each visitor will receive a business card with the QR code to access the program directly.
A fun Sunday
Fornoli will be the place to be on Sunday 11th May.
The local artist group Borgo degli Artisti with be there with a stand where you can decorate plaster animals created by Arte Barsanti, famous for hand made figurines.
Walking and bicycle tours
This is a great idea for Bagni di Lucca. I hope that lots of people join the tours.
A new restaurant in Granaiola
It is excellent to hear of a new restaurant opening in Bagni di Lucca. La Corte di Laura will open in Granaiola on the site of Biribisso which closed a few years ago.
Villa Fiori moves ahead
The purchase of Villa Fiori is official. It will be great to watch the project come to fruition.
Bar Italia reopens
We have missed Bar Italia in Ponte a Serraglio for the last 12 days. Annalisa reopened the bar in spectacular style with a party. Friends came from near and far.
There was music and lots of food and wine.
Our lovely baristas were back on deck.
The cabinets were full of delights…as usual.
The counter was covered in flowers.
I had a quick look at the new area.
I have chosen my seat for breakfast every morning.
I love the new area!
The new Tabacchi setup looks good.
I think my favourite young customer has set the mood for the revamped Bar Italia.
The party went well into the night and fun was had by all.
Congratulations Annalisa and crew. The expanded Bar Italia is a great success and I look forward to many breakfasts, lunches and aperitivo.
Verde Mura Lucca 2025
Yesterday was the first day of the excellent garden show on the wall of Lucca. It is on today and tomorrow.
There is a great selection of plants and other things to explore.
If you are going and intend to buy a few things, it might pay to take your own wheelbarrow. There are very few on offer and you are not permitted to take them off site to get them to your car.
