The weather has been a bit ordinary for the last few days. It is raining and cool…to be expected at this time of the year.
Autumn leaves are floating down the river, along with our resident ducks.
Despite the weather canoeists were out on the river too.
The little weir at Ponte a Serraglio is the end of the line for canoeists. There wasn’t much water flowing over it on Sunday but they all made it safely.
There is always something interesting happening on the river.

It is still raining, but it is not too heavy and not too cold, so all is well.
Canoeing has become a very popular sport. It was not the case a few years ago. I think that it is great to see people enjoying the river-
It is great to see the river used for canoeing and rafting. I imagine it would be lovely to be on the river.
Just have to comment…they are river kayaks….a canoe would have left everyone in the water!
Thank you for your input. Paddlers on the river seem to be called canoeists here, just a general term, but I’m sure are correct.
Imagine how cold the water is – you would not want to fall in!
It might be OK inn summer, but not now.
