Create a logo for Bagni di Lucca events
The Municipality of Bagni di Lucca has launched a competition to create a logo for the events of the area.
The idea is to unify the calendar of events and initiatives in the area under one banner…a great idea. There will be two versions, an image for summer events and one for winter events.
Entries close 3rd October. Details on the poster below.
September happenings
The new school in Scesta will be inaugurated on 8th September.
There will be an end of summer party on 8th September in Ponte a Serraglio.
A photography exhibition will begin on 15th September at the Casino in Ponte a Serraglio. Also on 15th and 17th there are events in Gombereto.
On 17th September a collection of vintage cars will be at Piazza Aldo in Fornoli.
The English cemetery has had more gravestones renovated and there will a celebration on Saturday 9th September.

Well done volunteers
A wonderful group of volunteers has got together to renovate the tired railing along the river in Ponte a Serraglio. Money raised from two events at the casino earlier this year was used for materials. Now the volunteers have stepped in to do the work.
The old sign beside the bridge has also been cleaned.

Ponte della Catene reopens
Tomorrow the stunning Chain Bridge that crosses the Lima River from Fornoli to Chifenti will reopen after its renovation.
The inauguration will take place at 5.30pm on Friday 11th August.
It will be great to walk across the bridge again.
