Driving along mountain roads in autumn brings lots of rewards. Winter is not far off now, but earlier in autumm the colours were glorious.
The colours are amazing.
When the late afternoon sun hits the hills they light up.
In winter most trees will be bare against the cold.

Autumn in Bagni di Lucca is simply stunning. The colours suit the place to perfection and the weather is generally mild and pleasant. Our favourite season!

We don’t get it at all here in Brisbane. It is one of the things I really enjoy about my time in Italy.

Debra, I agree every season has its beauty. Autumn is my favourite time of the year and I have mellow memories of Autumn around Bagni di Lucca and its surrounding areas.
I love autumn, but spring is also wonderful.

It is a pity I am not their to enjoy the season, but I will return in the new year.
