May has been a very wet month in Bagni di Lucca…and it is enough now. We long for some sunny days.
Having said that, I think these wet misty days are beautiful. See what you think.

The rain was so heavy for a while Ponte a Serraglio and Bagni Caldi almost disappeared.
Bagni di Lucca manages to look gorgeous whatever the weather…but some sun now please.

March and April were fairly dry, so now we are paying for it.

I love mist shrouded, wet and chilly days – perhaps because they are hard to come by for us in Brisbane. It’s still unseasonably, unreasonably warm and we haven’t had decent rain since the beginning of May and that was only one day – but it was a Sunday and I love wet Sundays! your misty mountains look beautiful.
I’m hoping it cools off in Brisbane before I come home.

When we met you in March we had a really beautiful sunny day (and as you said, most of the month was really lovely). So hopefully the sun comes out for you soon. Thank you for your kindness & great walking & restaurant advice when we came to Bagni di Lucca. We will be back in Lucca next spring for 6 weeks. Can’t wait!
