On Sunday the eighth annual Art Competition organised by Borgo degli Artisti was held in the park beside Villa Fiori. The day was hot, so most artists set up their easels in the shade of the old trees.
There was a space set up for the children, and Belinda, to paint a dove or create their own art.
Lunch is always an important part of the day…always.
The artists had to work quickly. Their work had to be completed in time for the judging.
The winners were… Student…Serenella Randazza 1st…Emilio Cavani 2nd…Silvio Bondarda 3rd…Massimo Ricco 4th…Graziana Masetti. A big thank you to Sheila, who took all these great photos for us.
…and thank you to Borgo degli Artisti for organising the event. They do a wonderful job on the Art Competition every year.

It is a fun event. I hope it continues.
Hope too 🙂
It is always a great event and the paintings seem to be getting better and better. I also like the children’s workshop, an excellent way to develop their creativity.

You’re welcome for the photos Debra. It was such a treat, watching the painters at work and then admiring their finished creations. I wish I were so talented!

I am looking forward to going back in September.
What a fabulous event, and what high standards! Bravo.
It is a great event for Ponte a Serraglio.
Another great reason to be in Bagni di Lucca. Many of those paintings are fantastic. You certainly have some talent in Bdl. I love the children’s work also
I would love to be there for this event one year.
Glad to see the artists still enjoying the Villa Fiori’s grounds…even in the heat. What a great idea to involve the children to help develop their artistic side.
