I went to a lovely party in Montefegatesi just before I left for Australia. Montefegatesi is one of my favourite villages, and we walked almost to the top to the house of our friend.
The house is perched on the side of a hill overlooking the gorgeous valley below.
…a pool with a view.
The sun goes down over our mountains.
Montefegatesi is a wonderful mountain village…a great place to watch the sun set.
Montefegatesi is simply gorgeous. Another jewel in Bagni di Lucca’s crown.
It is a great village. I have been many times and always enjoy walking along those streets.
Beautiful! I’m sure the pool will be getting much use with the current temperatures we are experiencing.
It would be perfect in the hot summer.
Very icy in winter however
I have seen it covered in snow. It looks great.
so beautful, fascinated me. Thank you, love, nia
It was a beautiful evening.
Oh my, what a stunning view.
You would never get tired of it.
What an idyllic spot to have a swim! Love your spectacular pictures of the sunset, Debra. Looks like you enjoyed your lovely party and what a way to leave Italy with happy memories.
It would be a gorgeous pool to swim in.
WOW!!! Simply: WOW!
It is a great spot, isn’t it?
Yes. Lovely little village with stunning views and an amazing narrow winding road up to it. What a great place to have a party
It was a great party in a beautiful place.
Love Monte. Cracking village with a great community spirit. I’ve been up there in all weather and its always lovely; decent little bar/cafe too. I recommend the panoramic walk which encircles the village – some of the views are very fine indeed. During our next trip to San Cassiano i’m planning to get the bus up to Monte then walk back down to San Cassiano. Should be a really nice walk.
I have covered most of the streets in Montefegatesi, but not the walk down to San Cassiano, good luck with that one.
Have you ever been to the Passeggiata Enogastronomica in the summer? It’s such a great afternoon; walking around the village and stopping for antipasto, then primi then secondi, dolce, sangria etc etc… Exhausting work!
This year it will be on the 2nd August!
It sounds great, but I am now in Australia. I am not usually in Italy in the summer…much too hot for me.
