I wish I was in Bagni di Lucca for Christmas. Perhaps it will snow…I love it when it snows.
I took these photos in winter 2013 when we had deep snow for a few days.
Perhaps it will happen again this winter.
Merry Christmas to all those who follow the blog. Thank you for coming along for the ride.
Thank you especially to the people who take the time to leave comments. There wouldn’t be much incentive to continue without the nice things you say. It is even more fun to meet followers when they visit Bagni di Lucca, and this is happening more and more.
One of the reasons I write Bella Bagni di Lucca is to share our beautiful collection of villages with the world. Quite a few people have visited our area because of the blog, which is great.
Please share the posts with people you know and maybe we can encourage a few more visitors in 2016…it is fast approaching.
Have a great Christmas!
Yes agreed about your introduction to this wondrous place! Without chancing upon your blog I may not have known of the existence of this lovely area of Italy. One day I will definitely visit – if not this coming year, it will be the next one! Your interesting stories and amazing photos about the places and people there are inspirational – I look forward to reading many more in the future.
I hope to meet you in Bagni di Lucca one day. Have a wonderful Christmas.
It certainly looks very beautiful in the snow….would love to have a white Christmas one day. Perhaps we could all meet there and enjoy a Christmas lunch together.
That sounds like a plan. Merry Christmas, no doubt a hot one in Perth.
Merry Christmas. Such a beautiful area, can’t wait for another visit.
I will be back in Bagni di Lucca in February. I am counting the days.
I am afraid that this will not be a White Christmas for most Europeans. Temperatures are unusually high for this time of the year and it does not look as if there will be no changes at least for a couple of weeks. No skiing this Christmas, either….
Perhaps it will be a different matter in February and I do agree, villages look wonderful with a bit of snow.
In any case, have a wonderful Christmas!
I have heard that it has been quite warm. No doubt winter weather will arrive soon. Enjoy your first Christmas with your grand daughter.
Debra, thank you as always for sharing this beautiful part of the world, especially in its romantic snowy garb. I may not get back to Italy again but I always enjoy traveling there through your blog. Merry Christmas to you!
I hope I see some snow when I return in February. Have a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you for bringing my ancestral home to me when I can’t be there. One day I hope to spend many more months there each year but for now I am grateful for your wonderful blog. A very sincere thank you for all that you do and best wishes for a wonderful Christmas and holiday season. Felicissimo Anno Nuovo!

Are you coming to Italy?
Always the hope 🙂 Maybe in spring
What a contrast – Brisbane in the summer to Bagni di Lucca. Beautiful photos of both.. Yes, I often share your blog with friends and family. Happy Christmas Debra from Bargara, Qld.
Merry Christmas Dianne. I hope you have a lovely time with your family and that next year is good to you.

Merry Christmas Debra and family…..Looks amazing . I am returning to Bagni di Lucca in June 2016 with a group of 16 Aussie closest friends so I hope we will have the chance to meet you. I love your posts and they remind me of how stunningly beautiful the area is. Best wishes and Happy New Year from Maree, sweltering on the beautiful Gold Coast
I grew up at the Gold Coast and we have an apartment at Main Beach, just a block from my old house. It is hot in Brisbane right now too. If you are coming to Brisbane before mid February let me know. We could meet for coffee and chat about lovely Bagni di Lucca. I will be there from mid Feb until mid June.
Beautiful snow photos…it’s like a dream landscape. Thank you for sharing Debra….Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
It doesn’t snow very often in the lower villages, but it certainly looks beautiful when it does. I am hoping for at least one snowfall when I return in February. Have a great Christmas and a new year full of travel.
Thank you Debra….and I hope you get that snowfall you are wishing for:)
This morning, in our last minute shopping, we backed into a car in the car park. Instead of being met with tight mouthed anger, or even abuse, the two women in the car were so kind and understanding. We exchanged details, the owner of the car handed us her card, and in answer to the question “what do you do”? she said, “I travel” – and that made me think of you. I told her about you and Bagni Di Lucca and I’m going to email her the details of your blogs. Maybe these Bella people will get to see Bella Bagni di Lucca, I hope so. And – thank you Deb, for all the beautiful photographs which I so much enjoy. Buon Natale.
Oh dear! I hope there is not too much damage to either car. Have a great Christmas, and thank you for passing on the blog details.
Merry Christmas Debra and thank you for your continued posts. Having visited this year (stayed in Guzzano) we got to find out just how special Bagni de Lucca is. I still recall sitting in the car at the traffic lights on the bridge and casually looking to my right, only to see your name on the door plate. that was one surreal moment
It sure looks different with snow compared to the heat wave we experienced – hottest summer on record I think
Guzzano is a lovely village with some beautiful views. It was a very hot summer. I left for Australia before the real heat set in, and went back in September when the worst of it was over.
I will return in February and with a bit of luck I will see some snow.
I hope you return to Bagni di Lucca one day.
Christmas greetings from the place to continually touches my heart is extra special … so thank you for that … and I am very thankful not only for what you share on these pages, but for your generous spirit. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Thank you Frank for your kind words. I know we will meet in Bagni di Lucca one day.
No doubt. Whenever my next trip comes, I’ll let you know via email.
I’m really enjoying your blog. We moved here and bought a house in Ghivizzano. Love the valley and the people. Thanks for your posts!
Thank you! Ghivizzano is lovely. I hope we get to meet one day.
Ponte looks so beautiful covered in white. Thank you for sharing the lovely photos. Perhaps it will finally be cold when I return. See you next year!
A lovely lovely post. For one, I love the blog because it brings me closer to the Italy I love, seen through the eyes of someone who gets Italy perfectly. With love dear Deb!
Happy New Year Debra…..Your Christmas photos look amazing….Wishing we were there escaping the humidity!!!!!We would love to meet you when you return to Brisbane and hear of all the wonderful experiences we could have in Bagni di Lucca. We may have crossed paths with you in our youth on the Gold Coast. Looking forward to more posts in the new year. Maree
I am in Brisbane now. I will return to Italy in mid February. I would love to meet for a chat.
