It is great to see that work has begun on the renovation of Villa Fiori in Ponte a Serraglio. The area around the villa is being cleared. It will be wonderful to watch this beautiful old building come back to life.
Thess photos were taken by a friend as I am in Australia right now. I will be there in early September to see what is happening and there will certainly be updates along the way.
Half of the car park will still be available. The walking bridge appears to be closed while they are working on the area around the house, but it will be available later. I am not sure about the park.
It will be interesting to watch the progress of the building and gardens as they are bought back to like. Looking forward to seeing the updates in September.
We are excited, when we first walked by the Villa in March, we were fascinated. We are back in Ponte Serraglio in Sept so that will be one of the first things we go see!
wow Debra how exciting to see this magnificent building renovated!
Yes, it is excellent.
I will be back in Bagni di Lucca on 25 August and am excited to see how everything has changed since last year.
I am really looking forward to visiting my great-grandfather’s village again.
The renovations have just begun, there is a long way to go, but work has started and that is great. I will be back in early September…can’t wait!
Grazie

It has been sad watching Villa Fiori fall into disrepair. Now we can watch it come back to life.
Excellent Debra. A real hidden jewel to be revealed. I hope you can send us some progress photos.

We’re back next week, great to hear work is actually going to happen!!!
Can you still park there and walk to the pedestrian bridge (& walk dogs in the park?)?

It must have been a beautiful building in its day. It is nice that it is getting some TLC.
I would love to have seen it when the gardens were in full bloom and the house was lived in. It will be great to see it renewed.
How terrific that this wonderful villa is being restored – exciting 🤗
I think it will be great for Bagni di Lucca.

I think the whole process will take a few years, but it will be fun to watch.

I will be back in September too and I am excited about watching the development unfold.
