Bar Italia in Ponte a Serraglio opened this evening. A large crowd of well wishers gathered early and the brand new bar was soon full.
Annalisa was there to welcome everyone.
Her helpers were all there too.
Of course there was lots of food.
…and lots of people.
I am delighted that Bar Italia is open again. The piazza has been very quiet without it. I look across the piazza to the bar from my apartment and it has been very sad to see it closed.
We will be back bright and early tomorrow morning for our first breakfast at Bar Italia.

We drove by and aborted our mission – super crowded and no parking at 6 – should have come earlier. Glad Annalisa had such a great turn out! We’ll be by tomorrow. Nice to see the photos, though.

Now that Bar Italia open, Il Monaco is closed. The new bar has the pastries and the gelato, so everything is in one place.
Looks like a lovely venue. Hope it all goes well.

My dad was so sad when it was closed. He went to Monaco but it was not the same thing. Happy that Ponte has a brand new bar!!
We are all happy that Bar Italia is open. We have all been a bit lost without it.
