There has been some wild weather in Bagni di Lucca. There was snow for a few hours before rain came to wash it all away.
The river that was extraordinarily low this summer is now roaring past.
I wish I was around to see the snow and rain. I love to stand at my window to watch it all happen.
Thank you Paul for taking photos of my front yard.
All this rain is a blessing. The River Lima is really a “torrente”, so it needs lots of water.
We absolutely need the rain. I hope it doesn’t cause too much damage.
Wow. Thanks for all the beautiful pictures. I love seeing them but so homesick!
I wish I was there too.
I could hear the rocks in the River tumbling over each other during the night.
The river can become very noisy.
WOW! That much fast flowing water will certainly give the river a good clean out. Hope there hasn’t been any damage around the area.
I haven’t heard of any damage so far. Let’s hope it stays that way.
Those waters are flowing … but the 4th image is the one that warmed my heart.
I live winter in Bagni di Lucca. I will be back in February. I hope we get some snow then.
Thankyou for the photos, my appartment is in one of them, we have been worried.
I have not heard of damage in Ponte a Serraglio. The road flooded at Devil’s Bridge but Ponte is OK.
Thankyou, I found out about flooding in Lucca and piza and knew our river feed it, had been googling for days worried until I saw your pics. We are on the ground floor appartment with the turret, see you in February. Again Thankyou, love your page
