This annual garden show is on in Lucca right now. It started today and continues tomorrow, Saturday 5th April and Sunday 6th April. If you love looking at beautiful plants this is the place to be.
I went today and the rain cleared just as the gates opened. I was one of the first in, so I had the place almost to myself. Come for a little wander with me.
My first stop was this stand with metal ornaments for your garden. I love their birds.
There was an endless variety of beautiful plants.
Of course there was food.
…and lots of other things I had no idea I needed, until I saw them.
If you are close to Lucca this weekend you shouldn’t miss this event.
Would love to have that table and chairs. So rustic!!
I would like to see it under my hazelnut trees at Casa Debbio.
I wish that we were there…!!!
Perhaps next year?
Mmmmmmm, wonderful. Sorry I didn’t taste any.
Don’t those artichokes look great?
Love the orange brooms and the birds. Thanks for showing us.
It would a shame to sweep anything with those brooms.
Beautiful! Wish I was there. I’ve walked those walls many many times – it would be lovely with a market on it.
I never tire of walking on Lucca’s wall.
This looks beautiful….and right up your street Deb! All your favourite things in one delightful spot!
It was a good day.
Love the birds and the marvellous array of goods on show, especially the dotted plates.
There was lots of great stuff to see.
Love these markets, Debra. We were in Lucca several years ago, for the Festival of Santa Zita?. There was a collection of stalls in the Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, one of which, much to our amazement, had only Australian Natives (Banksias, Grevilleas etc).
The celebration for St Zita will be later this month…I will be there. I have even seen Geraldton Wax at this market. Grevilleas seem quite popular here.
Thank you for another lovely post on Lucca. It looks like anyone starting a garden could do a lot worse than to buy some of the items for sale there. Good luck with you garden i’m sure it will be a big success.
There can not be too much said about the delights of Lucca. I go there a few times a week, so expect more.
Looks like a great way to spend a day. Photos are so enticing!
Can’t believe I missed this great event-maybe next year…
