I braved the freezing wind today to plant pansies on the bridge at Ponte a Serraglio. The bridge will be closed for a week from tomorrow so I wanted to get them in first.

The magnolia tree in the background will be in bloom soon.

I am expecting several plants to be stolen, it happens every year. Last week a miserable grub chopped off some lovely little daffodils and placed them carefully in the pot.
Anyway, I love to see flowers on the bridge…spring is on the way.
THANK YOU!!!
It is my front yard. I like to see the bridge looking pretty.
The pansies look lovely, as usual.
I hope they grow well this year. Last spring they did not do well at all.
We drove past you today, as you were planting. The pansies look wonderful.
They will when they grow a bit bigger. They were blown around by the wind today, as I was.
You and the flowers you plant bring me great joy! Hope to see you in July. Ann
Thank you. I am finally going home to Australia in early June so I will miss you in July.
Deb one of my favourites in Ponte your gorgeous flowers on the bridge enjoy 🤗
The bridge looks pretty when the flowers grow. I like to see them when I look out the window.
Pansies are one of my favorite flowers.
They are cheerful little flowers.
It takes a person who recognises beauty, and its importance to the human spirit, to create it for others. Your pansies are so uplifting. There will always be those who struggle with their own darkness. Thank you for painting pictures of Ponte and Bagni di Lucca through your blog. I am looking forward to getting there soon. Veronica
Thank you for marking Il Ponte a little more pretty. I hope that same short brain people won’t touch them Well done Thanks
Thank you Debra !!!
