Beautiful trees

Spring has been odd this year, but finally everything is turning green. Frassino, or flowering ash trees don’t flower every year, but this year they are spectacular.

It is possible to see the beautiful white flowers dotted all over the hillsides around Bagni di Lucca.

It has been interesting to watch the developing leaves and flowers.

  1. Tennessee has a lot of blooming trees this year too. My allergies are horrible, but I am still out painting the scenery as I love to do every spring. Hoping to paint in Bagni di Lucca again one day!

  2. Hi Debra,

I love your blog and look forward to the regular emails that pop into my inbox with all the pictures and information about beautiful Bagni di Lucca.

I will be visiting for 2 months in June and July this year and wondered if you could help me with a quick question I have. As per your advice, I am hoping to get the bus when I arrive at Pisa airport, however, although both my daughter and I have searched using different words we cannot seem to find a bus timetable on the internet. Is it possible for you to point me to the best website for me to do this? I would be extremely grateful for any suggestions.

    With kindest regards,
    Ellen

    • The website is vaibus.it. The timetables are not that easy to find. The buses run roughly hourly from Pisa airport to Lucca, where you will change for Bagni di Lucca. If you tell me what time you arrive at Pisa airport I might be able to give you connections.

      • That’s great, thanks. My flight arrives at 12.20 on Sunday 3rd June. I have looked at the website (thanks) and if I’m lucky I might catch the 12.50 bus, otherwise it’s the 14.30 I think. However, I’m not sure if they all run on a Sunday? It just says (I think!), that, depending on the icons at the top, buses running during school term time and/or during school holidays. Confusing. Thanks again for your help.

      • The Sunday timetable is different. There are only a couple of buses from Lucca to Bagni di Lucca. Look for “festa” timetable.
