Limano is 538 metres above sea level and offers gorgeous views over the Lima valley and the surrounding mountains.
The centre of the town is Piazza Gave, with its 16th century fountain.
Five narrow cobblestone streets radiate from the piazza. Come for a walk…
I was in Limano in very early summer and there were flowers everywhere.
Take the time to walk through lovely Limano.

Limano is a wonderful town, one of the many that we are lucky to have as part of Bagni di Lucca. And that fountain is a real jewel!
The mountain villages are beautiful…all of them.
Limano is a treat!
Another treat … and another reason why I want to live in Bagni.
Oh how I’ve missed you and your posts! I’m sorry for not dropping in for so long. Your pics are like a breath of country air! xxx
I had a wander around Limano one Saturday morning on my own. It was really lovely. Your beautiful photos bring back lovely memories.

I am thinking of buying a house in one of these villages and your posts have inspired me, thank you !
That’s great. If I can help with anything let me know.
When is the town steak dinner?
I don’t know this. I will look in the Bagni di Lucca Facebook pages to see if it is mentioned.
there was a video on Facebook where they showed a steak and wine dinner in town outside. There had to be 500 people there.
Most local events are well attended. They are often only publicised within the town with a few posters put up. It can be very difficult to track them down. It is more likely it would be in the warmer months when there are more people around.
I cannot find any information on it other than that video and there was no time frame or nothing
it’s in August There are many festivals and village dinners the entire month starting on the 1st The dates are published to a bulletin board in the piazza
