The first Bagni di Lucca Arts Festival is drawing to a close. It has been a very successful event and is a credit to the organisers.
I haven’t been around Ponte a Serraglio for the festival, but I have been able to keep up with the activities through the efforts of friends who have sent photos.
For an excellent roundup of the festival please go to Michael and Shona’s Blog. They have been involved from the beginning to the almost end and can fill you in on some of the details.

I’m sure plans are already underway for next year.
I’ve just read Michael and Shona’s post – that art work on the surface of the river is quite extraordinary.
I wish I had been there for that on, especially as it was right under my apartment.
It has been a terrific series of events and attracts a lot of visitors to the area – and the artists have been fabulous.
It is a great event for Bagni di Lucca. I am pleased it has been so successful.
Excellent event, a must for such a charming place as Bagni Di Lucca. I hope all the residents of the hamlet appreciated the event, and participated in the event. A round of applause to the organizers of the event and to the wonderful mosaic of performances. It really is a blessing to claim the hamlet as global village. Thank you to all involved and hopefully next year I can see it with my own eyes.
I hope you can be there next year…take lots of friends.
Congratulations to both organisers and participants. This is the type of event needed in the area. I hope that next year it will be extended to include La Villa.
Perhaps the comune will offer some support next year.
